Industry Responders Conference to Be Held July 19 – 20, 2004 in Denver
2004-05-14

The Propane Emergencies program is pleased to announce its third Industry Responders Conference to be held July 19 – 20, 2004 in Denver, Colorado.

The Propane Emergencies (PE) Industry Responders Conference is a forum for propane industry leaders to share experiences, response techniques, and communication strategies with their peers. While industry assessments cover most of the conference costs, there is a $99 registration fee to help with meals and program materials.

Once again, the conference will be facilitated by PE program authors and hazardous materials specialists Michael S. Hildebrand and Gregory G. Noll, along with Michael Callan, author of the PE Facilitator’s Guide. The conference will include breakout sessions and case studies of actual emergency situations. Other topics to be discussed are Homeland Security, Fire Safety Analysis, and Successful Interagency Response Networks. Conference attendees will develop a list of action items for the Propane Emergencies program to support industry emergency response efforts around the country.

At the conference the PE program will reveal its latest curriculum component designed specifically for the propane industry, the new PE Marketer Outreach Toolkit. This CD and DVD package contains checklists, PowerPoint presentations, instructional tips and the PE training video in an easy-to-use format for marketers hosting emergency responders at a propane facility. The goal of this program is to strengthen the nationwide network of industry specialists.

If you are interested in attending the third annual Propane Emergencies Industry Responders Conference, please contact the PE program via email (pe@propanecouncil.org) or by calling Elizabeth Gardner at the Propane Council (202-452-8975).
