Propane Database and Forecasting Model Now Available For Industry
2006-01-20

The Propane Database and Forecasting Model (PDFM) – constructed especially for the Market Metrics Initiative (MMI) – is now available! The PDFM, which is the MMI’s most important end-product, provides the industry with an invaluable strategic  marketing and business planning tool.

Detailing propane consumption volume data (gallons) and market share by sector and major end-use application down to the state level, the PDFM can be used to forecast near-term propane demand, including customized alternative scenarios based on weather patterns, changes to housing starts, and other key factors.

A CD-ROM package containing the model and a users’ guide that includes detailed instruction to make the application easy to use is available free of charge to industry members by contacting PERC’s Brittany Hooten at (202) 452-8975 or brittany.hooten@propanecouncil.org. Please note: the CDs are launched by using a version of Microsoft EXCEL97 or later.
